Brandi L. Harper is a managing partner of CASTILLO HARPER, APC and a founding partner of the law firm. Brandi heads the Civil Litigation Division, and the Family Law Division of the firm. Before starting this law firm, she worked at another defense firm in Riverside, California, where her she focused on civil litigation and public entity defense, as well as family and employment law, and at Lackie Dammeier McGill & Ethir, APC where her practice focused 100% on civil litigation. Brandi has represented police officers in civil litigation and in section 1983 cases related to claims of excessive force, and has tried cases in both state and federal court. She is passionate about representing first-responders in all areas of her practice.

Brandi is both a PORAC Legal Defense Fund (LDF) panel attorney and California Correctional Supervisors’ Organization (CCSO) panel attorney, and handles all matters of employment defense. She is on CASTILLO HARPER APC’s Critical Incident Response Team, and is often requested by police associations to handle their general counsel matters due to her outgoing personality. Brandi also is an avid presenter, and enjoys giving trainings to associations on civil litigation updates. In fact, she very may well be the favorite at CASTILLO HARPER’s annual Las Vegas POA Leadership training.

Brandi received her law degree from Ave Maria School of Law in Ann Arbor Michigan in 2009, where she received a significant merit scholarship. During law school, she served as a law clerk for the Honorable John G. McBain of the Jackson County Circuit Court in Jackson, MI. She was also a summer associate and law clerk at a civil litigation defense firm prior to being admitted to the Bar. Brandi received her undergraduate degree, with honors, from California State University San Bernardino, where she received the Presidents Scholarship and was on the Dean’s List.

Brandi is currently a member of the Riverside County Bar Association and Federal Bar Association- Inland Empire Chapter, and is admitted to all district courts. She is also a member of the National Association for Professional Women. If you ever get a chance to, ask Brandi about the Ontario Reign. She is a big fan.
